Obituary of Maria Grace Jukes

East Greenbush- Maria Gracias Jukes affectionately known as “Grace”, passed away Sunday, May15, 2022, at the Terrace at the Eddy, at the age of 89.

Grace was born in Summit NJ. The daughter of the late Alexander and the late Constance (Lombardi) Gisoldi and loving wife to the late James Jukes.  Grace lived in Hancock, NY until she moved to Albany at 24. She worked at Niagara Mohawk where she met the love of her life, Jim.  She was the secretary for Mendel Mesick Cohen Waite Architect firm, retiring at 65.  Grace loved to vacation at the Jersey shore with family and friends. She was always up on the latest fashion trends and was known for her holiday “broccoli dish”. She had a love for life and could make a friend wherever she went. She certainly had the “gift to gab”.  Survived by her loving children Jacquelyn J. (Andrew Besson) and, Robb C. (Maureen) Jukes. She was the proud “Nana” of Tyler (Emily) Jukes, Matthew Jukes, Alexander Cafaro, and Angelo Cafaro. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.   Grace was predeceased by her brother Anthony Gisoldi. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral thursday 8:30 at the Rockefeller Funeral Home 165 Columbia Tpk. and 9:00 at Church of the Holy Spirit Church 667 Columbia Tpk. East Greenbush.

Interment will be in Greenbush Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm in the funeral home.
