Obituary of Leonard E. Tempel

East Greenbush - Leonard E. Tempel, 77, of East Greenbush, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at Evergreen Commons after a brief illness.

Leonard was born in Albany, New York, the son of the late Kurt Tempel and Phyllis Bowen Tempel.

He was the owner of Overhead Door of Troy/Pittsfield his entire life and retired from Lill Overhead Door in East Greenbush before moving to Calabash NC.

Predeceased by his wife Carmela M. Tempel

 Survivors include daughter Vicki (Michael) Lybolt, son Jeffrey (Amy) Tempel, step-daughters Kimberly (John) McDonough, Susan( Patrick) Billings, step-son Mark (Amy) Chiplock , grandchildren Alysha, Kayla, Kristen and Brad and step-grandchildren Austin, Alyssa, Evan, Tyler, Joelle, Reagan, Christian and Ava. 

Relatives and Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc., 165 Columbia Tpk in Rensselaer. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Leonard’s name to a charity of the donor's choice.
