Obituary of Mildred R. Fox

Mildred (Reed) Fox 101 of East Greenbush died peacefully with her family Friday ,May 6,2022 . Born in Rensselaer Jan 11, 1921 to John H. and Frances (Southwell) Reed.  Mildred worked at the design dept of Huyck  Felt, then went on to work at NYS Dept of Taxation and Finance where she retired from in 1983.  She was a member of Van Rensselaer Star  Chapter 256 and Beukendaal-George Hope  Chapter 271 Order of the Eastern Star.   She was a former member of the Castleton/Greenbush Rebekah Lodge No. 26 and  the Schodack Republican Club.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years Erven D. Fox, Sr.sibling Helena (Russell) Bentley , brother in laws Russell Bentley  and Harold Mitchell, niece Elaine Mitchell, and nephews Wayne Bentley, Brian Mitchell, Roger Bentley, and  Russell Whited and great great grandson Alexander Lind.  Survivors include her 2 sons, Erven D. Fox, Jr. his wife Karen and Lloyd A. Fox , his wife Cheryl A. Flint, and a  sister Lois Mitchell. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and spouses, 6 great grandchildren, one great great grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours 9-11 Wednesday morning  at The Rockefeller Funeral Funeral home 165 Columbia Tpk Rensselaer  with a graveside service to follow at  Memory Garden  Cemetery  in  Colonie .  In lieu of flowers,donations can be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
