Obituary of David J. Smith

CASTLETON - David J. Smith, 67, of Castleton, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at St Peter's Hospital.

David was born December 15, 1954, in Albany, New York, the son of Nellie M. (Hood) Smith and the late Richard J. Smith. David worked as a Customer service Representative for Home Depot for over 20 years before taking ill.

Survivors include his mother Nellie M. Smith his brother Richard P. Smith, sisters Nancy (Stephen) Burnett, and Sally Smith.

In addition to his father he was predeceased by a brother George Smith and a nephew Eric Smith

David is also survived by many nieces and nephews..
Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc, 165 Columbia Tpk. in Rensselaer with a The Funeral Service following at noon.  Burial will be in East Greenbush Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s name to The First United Methodist Church of East Greenbush 1 Gilligan Rd east Greenbush NY 12061 or the Schodack Valley Fire Company at 1553 Schodack Valley Rd, Castleton-on-Hudson NY12033
