Obituary of John B. Broadhurst Sr.
SELKIRK - John B. Broadhurst Sr., 72, of Selkirk, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at his sons home in Catskill.
John was born August 16, 1949, in Albany, New York, the son of the late William H. and Helen M. (Bailey) Broadhurst.
He served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1972 during the Vietnam war and was a Bus Driver for CDTA , Yankee Trails, and Durham Bus Company.
Predeceased by his wife Patricia and his son Richard Broadhurst.
Survivors include his children Patricia Broadhurst, John (Stacey) Broadhurst Jr. Edward (Tina) Broadhurst, Robert (Shirley) Broadhurst, Francis (Steffane) Broadhurst.
Siblings Joan (Frank) Bond, Helen Broadhurst, Edward (Linda) Broadhurst. John was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to his calling hours Friday 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc., 165 Columbia Tpk in Rensselaer. with a Funeral Service held at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John’s name to a charity of the donor's choice.
