Cheryl (Sherry) Cuttler of East Greenbush, New York and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at her home in Vero Beach. Sherry was born in Albany, and grew up in Witherbee, NY.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Barrie, and her daughter Kimberly (David) Wick, and son Todd (Jennifer) Cuttler, and her seven grandchildren Katie (Brian) Sitcer, Brendan and Dalia Wick, Emily, Sarah, Adam, and Molly Cuttler, her sister Deborah (Richard) LaPier, brother-in-law Gary (Carol) Cuttler, and many nieces and nephews. Sherry stayed home raising her children for many years until she began working for Governors M. Cuomo and Pataki in the Appointments Office. After 18 years she accepted a position at NYS Children and Family Services, retiring in 2004.
Sherry loved to bring people together, hosting friends and family for many years in her home in East Greenbush. Whenever opportunity allowed, she enjoyed traveling whether on short trips, or on highlighted vacations to the Caribbean and Europe. Always ready with her quick wit and sometimes direct honesty, she was loved by everyone around her. Challenged with advanced muscular dystrophy later in life, Sherry was a true example of how to address adversity by focusing on the positive, setting an example for all of us. Her true passion was always family, and as the heart and soul of hers she will be forever loved, and forever missed.
