Obituary of Ryan M. Phillips

RENSSELAER - Ryan M. Phillips, 24, of Rensselaer, passed away Suddenly Sunday, February 27, 2022, 

 

Ryan was born in Albany, New York, the son of Marc Cannon and Jennifer (Phillips) Riling.

Ryan attended Columbia High School.

 

During his youth, Ryan was an outstanding athlete. He was a lefty pitcher with a mean curve ball. He also was an outstanding skateboarder, and had a great basketball shot. Ryan loved riding dirtbikes and four wheelers. He was also an avid dog lover, and he cherished our family pet Jake.

 

Ryan was a Laborer for various construction contractors through the years. Before his death, Ryan found purpose in Volunteering at the Addiction Recovery Center in Burlington,Vermont.

 

Survivors include his mother Jennifer (Paul Riling Sr.) Riling, father Marc (Margaret Ganance Cannon) Cannon, sisters Leah Phillips,Cierra Riling,Tina Merrill, Brittany Merrill and Tiffany Merrill, brothers Paul Riling Jr., Joseph Riling and Thomas Merrill. 

 

Ryan was also survived by his maternal Grandmother Shirley Phillips who he loved and adored.He is also survived by many cherished Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.


Friends may call from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Friday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc., 165 Columbia Tpk. in Rensselaer.  A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM.
