Obituary of Mary Ann Danner

SCHODACK -- Mary Ann Danner, 83, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side following a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John and Leanora (Tyrrell) Coonan.

Mary Ann and her husband, Joseph, were married on June 23, 1962, at St. Patrick’s Church in Troy.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Mary Ann is survived by her three children: Jackie (Kayce Wilson) Danner of Wells, Maine, Patrick Danner of San Antonio, Texas, and Stacey (Michael) Farrar of East Greenbush; her sister Jackie Coonan of Menands and her brother John (Nancy) Coonan of Wynantskill. She also is survived by granddaughter Lyndsey Farrar, grandsons Ryan Farrar and Gabriel Danner-Wilson, and many in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Keith Rebehn and his nurse, Robin, and staff at Community Hospice, especially nurse Grace, for their care and compassion during Mary Ann’s illness.

At Mary Ann’s request, there will be no wake or calling hours.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary Ann’s family at the church prior to the Mass, starting at 10 a.m. Masks are required.
