Obituary of Tina M. DiBiase-Smith
East Greenbush, NY - Another angel gets her wings.Tina Marie (DiBiase) Smith, 64, passed away at home on Friday Nov 12 after a challenging war with cancer. She was surrounded by her children as well as her husband of 33 years. All who she loved tremendously.
Tina was born on August 17, 1957 to Rosalinda and Nicholas DiBiase SR in Albany, NY. She graduated Bethlehem Central High School class of 1975. Those who knew Tina growing up universally remember her kind spirit, laid back temperament, and her constant devotion to faith.
As a secretary for the NYS Office of Mental Health for many years, Tina was known for her dedication, lunchtime stories with colleagues, and her ever present smile. She was very well respected by everyone she worked with and kept in touch with many of them after her retirement.
Tina married Geoffrey Smith in October 1988 living in Delmar for 12 years before moving to East Greenbush to a home built by her dedicated husband. Together they raised two children Danielle and Brian Smith. She was blessed with two healthy grandchildren, Stella and August Kline whom she cherished. Each time her family grew, so did her heart.
A pure woman free of vices, Tina devoted her tremendous heart and spirit to the things that held the highest significance to her. God and family. Through her illness she continued to serve God, never losing faith. She continued to give out hugs, kisses and kind words even as her health declined.
In addition to her husband Geoff, children Danielle (Andrew Kline) and Brian (Caitlin Smith), and grandchildren; Tina is survived by her siblings Anne Fiato (Fred Fiato), Linda Redmond (Ken Barends), Nick DiBiase JR (Ann DiBiase), Paul DiBiase and all of her nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas DiBiase SR and Rosalinda Raducci DiBiase, sister Donna DiBiase Mueller, father-in-law Arnold Smith, and sister-in-law Victoria Smith.
