Timothy Sullivan III

Obituary of Timothy W. Sullivan III

Timothy William Sullivan, III, 75 on Thursday October 21st at his home in East Greenbush, entered his final, peaceful rest.  Born on May 19, 1946 in Albany, NY to Timothy William Sullivan, Jr. and Marcia Garvey Lee, he and his sister Marcia Ann Sullivan (Kutz) were very close.  Timothy enlisted in the Army and served in The Vietnam War.  When he returned, he met and married his beautiful young wife Susan Sullivan (Rusk), who cared for him each day.  Timothy was a generous and loving father to his two children Timothy William Sullivan IV and Leah Racheal Sullivan.  Timothy was proud of his son and family, Jodi Sullivan (Guilboard), Reina Sullivan, and Quinn Sullivan.  As their “Poppy,” he generously spoiled his granddaughters Reina and Quinn and, most of all, his little girl, daughter, and love, Leah.  The best of times were family gatherings where he would laugh, surprise, and tease.  His Nieces Courtney Kutz (Albaum) and Teagan Kutz remember fun times and will miss their “Unk”.  He will be missed by all his family and friends but especially by these dear people who were very special to him: Pat, Cary, Elliot, Sophie, Grant, Lindy, Mae, O’Connell, Kory, and many others including his dog, Bear.  Timothy joins his father Timothy William Sullivan, Jr., mother Marcia Garvey Lee, and his loving pets Max, Maggie, and Buckley in heaven at last.  The family will have a private gathering to honor him in happy memory.  “So if you've died and crossed the stream before us - We pray that angels met you on the shore - And you'll look down, and gently you'll implore us - To live so we may see your smiling face once more” -O’Danny Boy
