Anthony (Tony) Frank Cannone - December 27, 1933 - May 22, 2021
Anthony Frank Cannone, Castleton-on-Hudson, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Anthony was born on December 27, 1933 to the late Francesco and Domenica (Cicala) Cannone. Francesco passed away when Anthony was a young child, and he was raised by Dominico and Domenica (Cicala) Indelicato in Albany’s Little Italy.
Anthony started his working career at James McKinney Steel
In addition to his family and career life, Anthony was very active in his community. He was a long-time member of the South Schodack Fire department, serving as Tanker Captain for many years. He is known for his many years working the fire pit at the annual chicken barbeque. Anthony was also an active member of the Castleton Boat Club and a loyal parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Castleton. Anthony also served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. Anthony will be dearly missed by his family and his community.
He is predeceased by his wife Lee Cannone; brother, Salvatore (Joan) Indelicato, sisters Lena (Cannone) Padula, and Josephine (Cannone) Goodall. He is survived by his children, Paul Cannone, Pamela (Jim) Held, Frank Cannone, Tony J. (Sharon) Cannone, and Michael J. Cannone, stepdaughter Silvia (Jerry) Redding; his grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony Jr., Robbie, Christopher, Steven, William, Jerry, and Lori; his great-grandchildren, Brittany, Grace, Alex, Mathew, Jared, Justin, Jadon, Jeffery, and Hunter; great great grandson Kayson his siblings, Pauline
Relatives and friends are invited to his Calling hours Thursday evening 4-6 Pm at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Rensselaer, NY. Family and friends are invited to his funeral 9 o'clock friday morning at the funeral home and then Mass at 10 o’clock the Sacred Heart Church, Castleton.
