Obituary of Leonard M. Bohley

RENSSELAER - Leonard M. Bohley, 92, of Rensselaer, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, at DVA Medical Center.

 

Leonard was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Leonard C. and the late Bertha P. (Georgia) Bohley.

 

He retired in 1988 after 35 as a superintendant of Fire Alarms for the City of Rensselaer. Leonard served during WW II in the Merchant Marines later the Coast Guard and the Army before his Honorable discharge.

 

Survivors include his wife Shirley (Tibbitts) Bohley, daughter Cynthia Welsh, sons Leonard Bohley and Marc (Patricia Fiato) Bohley, step-son John Talar, step-daughter Judith Talar, ,sisters Joyce Raymond and  Darlene Mullally brothers Frederick Bohley,  Gerard Bohley, Raymond Bohley. Leonard is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren

He was Predeceased by brothers Ronald Bohley,Bernard Bohley and sister Audrey Nutter and one grandson.

Due to Covid the family has requested services to be private and friends may attend Thursday  9-10:00 via Zoom link

Interment wil be in Saratoga National Cemetery .  In lieu of flowers,  memorials may be made in Leonards name to the DAV – Disabled American Veterans
