Obituary of Kevin Timmons
Kevin T. Timmons, 59, of Schodack Landing died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St Peter's Hospital.surrounded by his precious family. Kevin was born in Peekskill to John and Elizabeth (Lewenicht) Timmons, deceased. He is survived by is loving wife, Pamela (Kaufman) Timmons and his cherished children; Sarah (Lucas) Davis, of New Berlin, NY, Alexander Timmons of Brooklyn, NY, Nicholas Timmons of Madison, WI and Emily Timmons of Schodack Landing. He is also survived by three bothers; John, Tom, and Richard and three sisters; Michelle Hanna, Ginny Pidala and Dee Shaffer and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Jerry.
At the time of his death, Kevin was employed by Trustco Bank as Vice President and Treasurer. He previously held positions at Bank of New York, Barclays Bank, Poughkeepsie Savings Bank, First Albany Corp. and C.L.King & Assoc. He was a graduate of Haldane HS in Cold Spring, NY, attended Columbia University where he was a member of the Football team, received an MBA from Fordham University and was a Chartered Financial Analyst. Although he had many professional accomplishments, his greatest legacy is his four wonderful children that he treasured most in life. Kevin took great pride in his ability to make his family laugh, groan or roll their eyes and never missed an opportunity to do so. He was a talented and prolific photographer and has left his family with many beautiful records of their wonderful life together, especially their happy vacations on Cape Cod. He loved sharing his eclectic collection of music and books. Kevin was a pizza connoisseur and could direct anyone to the best pizza shops anywhere in the country and produced a quality product himself.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Friday evening 4-7 at the Rockefeller Funeral Home at 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Castleton, NY. Interment will be Tuesday in Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Julie L. Butterfield Memorial Library in Cold Spring, New York. http://www.butterfieldlibrary.org/
