TROY - Dominic A. Filippino, 87, of Troy, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at Van Rensselaer Manor
Dominic was born November 2, 1933, in Albany, New York, the son of the late Carmine and Caterina (Baggetta) Filippino. Dominic was a graduate of Philip Schuyler high School class of 1953 and then was drafted into the service during the Korean Service. Dominic loved to read, play bingo and do his crossword puzzles and travelled all over the country. Dom was a Senior Stenographer for NYS Dept Audit Control for over 36 years before retiring.
Survivors include his siblings Frank Filippini Sr., Rose Smith, Eda Filippino, Yolanda Filippini, Nicholas Filippini, proud uncle of Joseph Gimondo, Joanne Braddock, Vinney Filippini, Diane Nardacci,
He was Predeceased by a sister Amelia Gimondo, and a niece Jeanne Gimondo, Frank Filippini Jr., Darlene Omara (Smith). He is also survived by many cousins and Great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours Tuesday afternoon 11-1 with funeral services at 1 O'Clock at the Rockefeller Funeral Home 165 Columbia Tpk Rensselaer, NY 12144.
