Paula J. Bradwell, 69, of Delmar, passed away Thursday December 31, 2020 after a brief illness at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Paula was born on January 6, 1951, in Albany, New York, the daughter of Olive Brouker Farrell and the late William A Bradwell Jr. In addition to her mother Paula is survived by her sister Candia Spencer, brothers William (Carmella) Bradwell, Brian Bradwell and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father William A Bradwell Jr and stepmother Margaret Bradwell. Paula began her early adulthood as a strong feminist and social justice advocate. She worked alongside migrant field workers while in California and didn't hesitate to join the voices in Ohio crying out against the senseless murders of innocent students at Kent State. Her early years built her strong, vocal Democratic political values. Paula retired from an Administrative position with NY State OASAS where she spent her career advocating and supporting individuals in recovery. There was not much Paula loved more than being a dog mom to Corky and Cali, her beloved Yorkies. Her community of "dog friends" meant the world to her. Paula was often the first to step up when there was a need to lend her voice to a cause, whether through prayer requests, moral support or financial help. Her love of family and friends were her greatest assets. God Speed, Paula. You will be missed.
Memorial Services will be postponed until after the COvid pandemic. Donations in Paula's memory can be made to your local animal rescue/shelter or a charity of your choice.
